Here is our current travel gear set up! It has been working well for us so far, but I’m sure things will get added on once the pandemic ends and we get to travel across the country/overseas again! On a side note, I know that baby gear can get very expensive. As a rule of thumb, I try not to purchase anything expensive for my baby without utilizing a promo code or discount. I’ve also taken advantage of several baby registry completion discounts when we were preparing for Luke’s arrival! There are always ways to save, and it truly adds up.
Car Seats
Nuna Pipa Infant Car Seat in ‘Caviar’
We loved our Nuna Pipa because of the convenience of simply transferring the car seat to the stroller rather than taking the baby out of the car seat. We opted for the Nuna Pipa because it is able to be used without a base in case we needed to fly out to my in-laws who live in California.
We also used the Skip Hop Winter Car Seat Cover with the car seat which was perfect (and relatively inexpensive).
Nuna Rava Convertible Car seat in ‘Caviar’
We recently switched over to the Rava as Luke was getting too big for his infant car seat and have had no issues with it. We love that it is easy to install into our Toyota RAV4 and it comes with extra cushions that you can take off as your baby gets bigger.
Stroller
Uppababy Vista V2 Stroller in ‘Gregory Blue Melange’
We absolutely love our Uppababy Vista! I was hesitant about the price but was sold when I tried it at the store. It glides so smoothly and I love how every button is so user-friendly. Figuring out this stroller was a breeze! We also went with the Vista instead of the Cruz because of its ability to convert into a double stroller (if or when the time comes, haha!)
We bought this JJ Cole Stroller Bunting Bag for the winter.
Some must-haves for the stroller are these Multi-purpose Stroller Hooks and the Uppababy Carry-All Organizer. I use them nearly every time we go somewhere.
Diaper Bags
I typically end up using this diaper bag because of how much it holds! I LOVE it and recommend it to all new moms. I highly underestimated just how much stuff I would need to carry with a baby, especially if I am to spend the entire day at someone’s house. It comes with so many different compartments that are always in use for us.
Freshly Picked Classic City Diaper Backpack
I bought this diaper backpack when I was young and pregnant and thought I’d effortlessly bring my baby everywhere. (And then the pandemic hit. And then I realized that babies take up a lot more space.) I think I used it a total of 2 times but I hope a day will come when I will use it more often!
OTher
Ergobaby Omni 360 Baby Carrier
This was a must-have purchase for us. Works well and feels sturdy.
This wrap was used religiously when Luke was a newborn and the baby carrier was too big for him. I could tell he was instantly comforted when he was wrapped up against my chest.
Portable White Noise Machine from Dreambaby and Portable Window Blackout Shades
These are essential for us because Luke is a very sensitive sleeper.
